Random thoughts on the start of Thanksgiving week:

1. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our booth at Vintage Market Days in McKinney. It was wonderful to see so many of you there and get to meet new friends in real life.

We’ll be there the rest of the weekend and we’d love to see you there.

2. My favorite thing about this Thanksgiving week? It’s full of rest and joy and books and family.

And it kicks off the holiday season.

3. How is the weather where you are? We had the worst storm here this week (right in the middle of setting up the booth).

4. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know that we make our family Christmas presents every year. I can’t wait to show you what I’m making this year. Here’s a hint, it’s one-of-a-kind.

5. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:

6. We are planning family photos for Christmas and our colors are navy and khaki and plaid. I hope it’s the perfect combination for our photos.

And now?

Let’s see all the amazing things I found for us from around the web (including lots of recipes).

An assortment of natural elements laid out on a surface, including pine branches, red berries, conifer twigs, pinecones, wispy tan grass, and stems with small orange berries.

This Christmas wreath project turned out amazing.

It’s made from foraged finds from the yard.

You can see the wreath DIY here.

Hello breakfast.

Nice to meet you.

If you are looking for something for Thanksgiving morning, these pecan sticky buns look so yummy.

See the recipe here.

Four cream knit stockings decorated with pinecones, greenery, and brown ribbons hang from a staircase railing. Small reindeer figurines and greenery sit on the steps, and a plush reindeer decorates the bottom stair.

Look at these stockings.

Aren’t they so sweet? These toppers are a DIY.

So many pretty things to look at. I'm in love with the foraged Christmas wreath. I'm contemplating where I can forage materials for my own wreath--so envious of people who own property where they can do that!
